ChildrenUp to age 26^†: natural born, stepchildren, legally adopted, children placed in your home for adoption, and legal wards.

A child turning 26Covered through the end of the month they turn 26^†. That counts as a life event, so they can join their own plan.

During the year, only a life event opens a change.

What counts

Life eventsMarriage, divorce, birth or adoption, death of a dependent, gaining or losing other health coverage, or a move, including entering the country.

Report itWithin 60^† days of the event, in Oracle: Me, Benefits, Report a Life Event.

Send proofWithin 30^† days of reporting it. New dependents: upload their documents within 30^† days, or they are removed.

When it startsChanges take effect when you report them. The quick reference guide is in Oracle under Help Desk, My Knowledge.

Delta Dental of Minnesota and VSP still run them. The annual plan maximum is $3,000^† on the Delta Dental PPO network.
